Items Prohibited from Package Deliver

Items sent via KAEBOX must comply with all laws and regulations and with KAEBOX's policies. Sending illegal, unsafe, or other prohibited items listed on this page is strictly prohibited.

If you send an item in violation of the law or any of our policies, including those listed on this page, we will take corrective actions, as appropriate, including but not limited to, immediately suspending or terminating your account. Sending illegal or unsafe products can also lead to legal action, including civil and criminal penalties.

KAEBOX encourages you to report items that violate KAEBOX’s policies or applicable law by contacting us. We will investigate each report thoroughly and take appropriate action.

The following items are prohibited from package delivery:

  • Flammable Solids

  • Any transaction involving International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or other commodities subject to import licenses

  • Artwork, archeological artifacts, and antiquities

  • Biological agents, etiological agents, and hosts and vectors of human disease

  • Corrosives

  • Miscellaneous (e.g., self-inflating life rafts, lithium batteries, and dry ice)

  • Flammable Gas

  • Spontaneously Combustible Flammable Solids

  • Dangerous When Wet Flammable Solids

  • Oxidizers

  • Organic Peroxides

  • Toxic Substances (solid or liquid)

  • Flowers

  • Fresh foodstuffs

  • Fireworks

  • Alcohol

  • Prepared food

  • Gems, cut or uncut

  • Hazardous materials/dangerous goods and radioactive materials

  • Household goods and personal effects

  • Lithium-ion and lithium metal batteries

  • Medical Devices – must verify that the accepting warehouse complies with state requirements/ licensing/permits for distribution of medical devices

  • Microchips, computer chips, microprocessors, central processing units (CPUs), and mobile telephones

  • One-of-a-kind/irreplaceable articles such as artwork valued between US$250,000 and US$500,000 each and other single items valued at US$250,000 and higher

  • Other perishables

  • Precious metals such as gold, silver, and platinum in the form of scrap, dust, sulfides, residue, industrial preparations such as silver powder and silver termination paste, and jewelry

  • Project cargo

  • Retail tobacco products

  • Tranquilizing guns and ammunition and their parts

  • Transportation moves for and on behalf of the U.S. government/Department of Defense contract products or other governmental agencies, wherever located, that require specific licensing in advance of any move

  • Hazardous waste

  • Bank bills, notes, or currency (other than a coin)

  • Ivory

  • Marijuana, including marijuana intended for medicinal use

  • Postage stamps

  • Shark fins

  • Plants

  • Seeds

  • Shipments prohibited by law

  • Dangerous goods

  • Watches exceeding the value of 500USD

  • Highly perishable food or beverages (e.g., raw meat or dairy products, etc.)

  • Pharmaceutical products, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, or supplements

  • Money, gift cards, lottery tickets, or transferable securities

  • Recreational drugs, drug paraphernalia, or tobacco products

  • Dangerous or hazardous items, including explosives, items that are poisonous or flammable (including paints or adhesives containing a flammable liquid), substances and material identified in the Hazardous Materials Table in 49 CFR section 172.101, or material determined to be hazardous under 49 U.S.C. section 5103 et. seq. and transported in a quantity requiring placarding according to regulations prescribed under 49 CFR, Subtitle B, Chapter I, Subchapter C, hazardous waste (including but not limited to hypodermic needles), or medical waste.

  • Contraband includes but is not limited to, illicit drugs and counterfeit goods

  • Stolen goods

  • Fragile items

  • Sexual aids; obscene or pornographic material

  • Livestock, regulated species (e.g., noxious weeds, prohibited seeds), or animal parts, blood, or fluids

  • Corpses, cremated or disinterred remains

  • Any items for which you do not have permission to send

  • Any items that are reasonably likely to be perceived by the recipient as threatening or harassing.

The above list of prohibited items is not exhaustive. Kaebox retains the discretion to prohibit additional items that are not on the above list.

We reserve the right to refuse or suspend transportation of any package which does not set out contact details for shipper and receiver and of goods which, in our opinion, are not practicable for transportation or are not adequately described, classified or packed and labeled in a manner suitable for transportation and accompanied by the necessary documentation.

We will not transport any goods which are prohibited by law or regulation of any federal, state, or local government or which may breach any applicable laws or endanger the safety of our employees, agents and subcontractors or the means of transportation or, which in our opinion, soil, paint or otherwise damage other goods or equipment or which are economically or operationally impractical to transport.

 

Foreign Shipments

Also prohibited are: goods moving under ATA Carnet and all temporary exports and imports; goods moving under FCR, FCT and CAD (Cash Against Document); shipments with inherent vice, which by their nature are likely to soil, impair or damage persons, merchandise or equipment; goods, the carriage of which is prohibited by law in the country of origin, transit or destination (eg. ivory and ivory products), goods which attract excise duty or which require special facilities, safety precautions or permits. Under applicable law, certain goods may be transported only under prescribed conditions, and certain goods are prohibited from transportation by air (eg. liquids in glass containers).

It is the shipper´s responsibility to comply with current government regulations or laws applicable in each country. Shipments are subject to inspection and possible delay by customs or representatives of other government authorities.

Kaebox Cross Border Global Prohibited Items

  • All commodities valued over the US $20,000 without approval

  • One-of-a-kind/irreplaceable articles such as artwork valued over US$500,000 each

  • Flammables with a flashpoint of 140 degrees Fahrenheit or less

  • Auto parts with fluids in them

  • Fine art

  • Fine jewelry

  • Furs

  • Pornography/obscene material

  • Precious metals such as gold, silver, and platinum in the form of bullion, coins, or ingots

  • Watches valued at over US$1000

  • Weapons and weapons accessories

  • Bullion and money of every description such as (but without prejudice to the generality of this clause) cash, banknotes, coins, currency notes, or currency of any kind

  • Stamps (postage or revenue); vouchers; tokens; tickets of any kind; and credit, debit, or cash cards

  • Time-sensitive or critical written materials or documents including, but not limited to, bids and contract proposals

  • Contraband includes but is not limited to, illicit drugs and counterfeit goods

  • Livestock, bloodstock, and living animals

  • Human remains

  • Explosives (e.g., mines and nitroglycerine)

  • Explosives (e.g., rockets and warheads)

  • Explosives (e.g., smoke signals, projectiles, and commercial fireworks)

  • Explosives (e.g., blasting agents)

  • Explosives

  • Toxic Gas

  • Infectious Substances

  • Radioactive Material including White I, Yellow II, Yellow III, and fissile material

Kaebox Cross Border Global Restricted Items

  • Class 3 Flammable Liquids

  • Division 1.4 Explosives (e.g., airbags, small arms ammunition, and model rocket motors)

  • Division 2.2 Non-Flammable, Non-Toxic Gas

  • Division 4.1 Flammable Solids

Shipping Prohibited Articles on a Contractual Basis with Kaebox

Certain items we list as prohibited will be accepted by KAEBOX on a contractual basis for shippers with regular volume and the ability to comply with all applicable regulations.

The items we can carry under certain criteria are:

  • Alcoholic Beverages

  • Animal products, non-domesticated (e.g., mother of pearl inlay, snakeskin watch bands)

  • Articles of high/unusual value

  • Biological substances, Category B and exempt human or animal specimens

  • Dangerous goods

  • Firearms and weapons (including inert and replica explosive weapons)

  • Furs

  • Gold or other precious metals

  • Live animals

  • Perishables

  • Personal effects

  • Plants

  • Seeds

  • Tobacco

Not all commodities can be shipped to all countries.

KAEBOX does not agree to carry any prohibited articles. Without prejudice to any other provision in these terms or the KAEBOX Terms of Service, if it comes to the attention of KAEBOX that a package contains any prohibited article, you must pay to KAEBOX an additional minimum administration fee of US $150 in addition to any other applicable charges. Payment by you of such fee does not in any way limit or exclude your liability to KAEBOX resulting from the breach of the KAEBOX Terms of Service nor does it mean that KAEBOX accepts any liability, or waives any rights, in respect of such prohibited articles.
